Excalon Invests Over £3m in New Specialist Vehicles

Excalon has made a significant investment of over £3m in the procurement of 32 new, environmentally friendly and efficient vehicles to supplement its existing fleet.

All the new vehicles have Euro 6 compliant engines [in accordance with the European Commission’s latest diesel engine emission legislation] and have been built to a technical specification to give the highest standard of safety and operational performance and sustainability. The HGV vehicles, tippers and grabs are fitted with cameras, and cyclist detection safety systems and have the latest generation of automatic gearboxes which allows the vehicle to select the optimum gear for particular road and traffic conditions to further reduce fuel consumption.

All the new vehicles are clearly identifiable in Excalon’s corporate colour with “Excalon” logos and have enhanced security features to prevent theft.

This investment confirms Excalon’s commitment to provide high standards of safety and efficiency and minimise the impact of our operations on the environment."
