Excalon has been awarded a major project by Iberdrola/Scottish Power to install new EHV Cables to the Galawhistle Windfarm in Scotland.

Excalon is proud to announce the award of a £2M contract to install a 132kV circuit laid in ducts over a route length of approximately 10km between Galawhistle Windfarm Substation and Coalburn Substation in Scotland for Iberdrola / Scottish Power.

Excalon has provided resources at short notice to meet the tight timeframes required by the DIY SOS team in undertaking works in connection with the installation of underground electricity cables and faults at the site of the Veteran’s Village in Newton Heath, Manchester.

The project, to build an advice centre and refurbish over 60 houses within a two-week period and provide homes for ex-service men and women with their families, is high profile and has been visited by the Royal Princes, William and Harry.

Excalon has made a significant investment of over £3m in the procurement of 32 new, environmentally friendly and efficient vehicles to supplement its existing fleet.
